Looking for a workout program from home? Well, fortunately there are many good home exercise options to choose from. You can design your own program or you can select from a wide array of 'ready-made' workout plans. No matter what type of routine you choose you should try to perform some form of cardio exercise at least 3 times per week and some form of strength/weight training at least twice per week.

When you're choosing an effective workout program from home keep these options in mind...

Workout Videos: Videos provide some of the most effective and fun home fitness options. They're very popular because they provide a ton of motivation along with a guided, expert workout routine.

Treadmills & Elliptical machines: Millions of people use these highly effective cardio machines at home because they provide a quick, convenient workout you can do anytime you choose. Treadmills and elliptical machines both have their own pros and cons but, without a doubt, they're both guaranteed to provide a great workout program from home!

Home Gyms: Certainly a high-quality home gym should be an option if you have the space and money to afford one. A good gym will provide a full-body workout, be well built, and require a minimum of maintenance once it is set up. It will also provide an enjoyable workout program from home - no jerky, unnatural movements!

Bodyweight Workouts: Most people can actually get a great workout using nothing but their own bodyweight. You may just need a pullup bar and a jump rope to get an effective full body workout program from home. The following exercise will workout every muscle in your body: pushups, pullups, chinups, bodyweight squats, crunches. And jumping rope has been proven to be one of the most effective forms of cardio exercise you can do!

Remember, whether you workout from home or at a gym it's best to vary your exercise routine often. Don't get stuck in a rut because you'll get bored and possibly quit. Many people like to mix and match their home workouts programs depending on how they feel and what they're in the mood to do. Also, just as in the gym, always remember to warm up before every workout program from home, in order to prevent injury.
